OnePlus has unveiled a new smartphone in its premium numbered series – the OnePlus 10T. However, this year, the ‘T’ brand is not a minor upgrade but a rather completely new offering, completing OnePlus’ premium lineup for 2022.
Despite being priced relatively cheaper, the OnePlus 10T dons the same design as the OnePlus 10 Pro while a few upgrades over the it. One is the new and improved Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 chipset. Also, a faster 150W charging. Meanwhile, the OnePlus 10 Pro comes with the dearest ‘alert slider’ and has Hasselblad’s magic. So, the question is, which of the two is more worth your money? Let us compare the two smartphones – OnePlus 10T and OnePlus 10 Pro – to find out.
OnePlus 10T vs OnePlus 10 Pro: Display
Both the smartphones flaunt a 6.7-inch 120Hz LTPO 2.0 AMOLED panel. The OnePlus 10T has a flat display, while the OnePlus 10 Pro display has curved edges. Furthermore, the AMOLED display on the OnePlus 10 Pro has a QHD resolution, while the OnePlus 10T offers Full-HD+ resolution. But, you get 10-bit colour, HDR10+ and adaptive refresh rate support on both smartphones.
OnePlus 10T vs OnePlus 10 Pro: Performance
The major difference between the two comes under the hood. Qualcomm’s new, improved and more efficient Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 chipset powers the new OnePlus 10T. Meanwhile, the Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 chipset inside the OnePlus 10 Pro has been heavily criticised for its inconsistent and inefficient behaviour. Moreover, OnePlus has employed the 10T with an improved cooling mechanism. Also, the OnePlus 10T comes with 16GB of RAM.
The OnePlus 10T comes with a whopping 150W fast charging, which is pretty fast compared to the 80W charging capability of the OnePlus 10 Pro. But, you get a tad larger 5000mAh battery on the OnePlus 10 Pro, whereas the OnePlus 10T has a 4800mAh battery.
Also, the OnePlus 10 Pro will be the first smartphone to get the OxygenOS 13 update. Meanwhile, if things go as planned, the OnePlus 10T will receive the update later this year.
OnePlus 10T vs OnePlus 10 Pro: Camera
Compared to the OnePlus 10 Pro, the OnePlus 10T’s camera setup seems like a midranger. The OnePlus 10 Pro comes with a 48MP main, 50MP ultrawide and an 8MP telephoto. Meanwhile, the OnePlus 10T has a 50MP main, a 12MP ultrawide and a 2MP macro. Also, no Hasselblad tuning for the OnePlus 10T. On the front, the OnePlus 10T has a 16MP sensor, whereas the OnePlus 10 Pro has a 32MP camera for selfies.
OnePlus 10T vs OnePlus 10 Pro: Price in India
The OnePlus 10T starts at Rs 49,999 in India, whereas the OnePlus 10 Pro has a more premium price tag of Rs 66,999.
